Star Wars fans want to know whether or not Pedro Pascal is leaving The Mandalorian. Here is all you need to know.
Is Pedro Pascal leaving The Mandalorian?
Pedro Pascal has not been officially confirmed to be leaving The Mandalorian, at the time of writing.
According to a report by Bespin Bulletin, while Pedro Pascal will very likely record his voice lines for The Mandalorian, he will very likely not be physically present in the suit and on set due to his commitments to Ridley Scott’s upcoming Gladiator sequel and the second season of HBO’s The Last of Us, with the former expected to begin filming over the next several weeks and the latter expected to start shooting in Spring 2024.
However, this information needs to be taken with a grain of salt as Disney has not officially confirmed whether or not this is the case.
Despite Disney’s lack of confirmation, this is a very likely scenario that could happen given that Disney seems to be very much into their decision not to let Pascal’s Din Djarin remove his helmet at any point in future stories so they can just have the actor record voice lines.
Furthermore, Djarin not taking off his helmet allows for Disney to make liberal use of stunt doubles. This only makes the scenario of Pascal not physically portraying the character on set for The Mandalorian’s upcoming season all the more likely, in addition to the fact that Pascal’s stunt doubles Lateef Crowder and Brendan Wayne received co-credit for portraying Djarin in The Mandalorian Season 3.
Will Pedro Pascal continue to voice Din Djarin?
Yes, Pedro Pascal will continue to voice Din Djarin.
Pascal will continue to portray Din Djarin even if it may eventually just be a voice role, as per Bespin Bulletin’s report, as the actor is beloved by Star Wars fans in the role, which Disney is well aware of.
