All Elite Wrestling has added a pair of Dynamite talents to the roster for AEW Fight Forever, the company’s upcoming video game debut. The game, which is due sometime this year, is in the works thanks to former WWE game developers Yuke’s. This week’s reveal stream confirmed the rumored name for the game and revealed two playable female competitors that fans are very familiar with. As confirmed by AEW wrestler Evil Uno during the AEW Games Twitch stream, both Kris Statlander and Nyla Rose will be available when Fight Forever hits later this year.

Statlander and Rose join former AEW Champion Kenny Omega, Jungle Boy, Darby Allin, and former AEW Women’s Champion Hikaru Shida on the roster as revealed so far. Both new competitors got quick videos revealing their in-game models and a look at their entrances. Statlander was shown in-game portraying her alien-centric character, which has become less of a focus on AEW television as of late. This is a common problem with most wrestling games, but it’s interesting to see it crop up for a brand new franchise. In any case, there’s hope that her new gimmick could be integrated via the character creator or even a DLC add-on.
The Twitch announcement also revealed that the game would be hitting PC alongside its release on Xbox and PlayStation. This is nothing new for Yuke’s, who shipped several WWE games onto Steam in the last decade. Still, it’s great to hear that players can pick up AEW Fight Forever on every current-generation platform out there outside of Nintendo Switch. There’s no word on exactly when AEW’s big gaming debut will hit in 2022, but this update brings fans closer to playing out their own dream matches.
