The game is currently set to be a PlayStation 5 exclusive at launch, with other potential versions coming at a later date. Developer Aspyr will be handling the development for the remake, after having already worked on previous Star Wars remakes in Republic Commando and Jedi Outcast.

Aspyr notes that the game “is a tremendous undertaking, encompassing almost every aspect of the original game,” and that development is still in the early stages, so don’t expect it to release very soon.

Originally made by BioWare, KOTOR is set four thousand years prior to the Star Wars films, and tells the story of Darth Malak and his Sith armada trying to wipe out the remaining Jedi Order.
