The ongoing Xianxia C-drama The Legend of Shen Li released episode 18 on March 27, 2024. It features Lin Gengxin and Zhao Liying in the lead roles. The episode primarily focuses on Shen Li’s (Zhao Liying) relationship with her comrades. Shen Li describes to Shen Mu Yue (Zeng Li) what she saw in the mortal realm. She mentions seeing General Zixia there, who had died during a battle. They conclude that the sorcerer must have stolen his body and turned it into a zombie-like creature. Furthermore, Shen Li also mentions that these bodies have turned into lifeless puppets that only follow the sorcerer’s orders.
Shen Li and Mu Yue agree that they should keep their guard up as they don’t know what Fu Sheng is plotting. Xing Zhi (Lin Gengxin) finds it charming how Shen Li listens to Mu Yue so diligently. She mentions that Mu Yue is a mother figure to her. Shen Li mentions that in court, she is Mu Yue’s most trusted advisor, but in private, she treats Shen Li like her own child. Meanwhile, Mu Yue orders her soldiers to find Fu Sheng as soon as possible and execute him on the spot.
The Legend of Shen Li ep 18: Zhao Liying & Xin Yunlai get closer
Shen Li asks around about the whereabouts of Mofang (Xin Yun Lai). She finds out that Furong’s sister, Youlan (Jackie Li), had summoned Mofang in the garden. Furong’s sister disrespects Mofang and orders him to be careful of his actions. Shen Li comes to his rescue. The two get into an argument. When Youlan proceeds to pull Shen Li’s hand, she gives her a taste of her own medicine.
Xing Zhi arrives at the spot and shields Youlan. Shen Li doesn’t understand why he wants to protect Youlan. Mofang apologizes for Shen Li’s behavior. As Xing Zhi sees Shen Li holding Mofang’s hand, he gets jealous. Shen Li feels like Xing Zhi is toying with her feelings.
Meanwhile, Shen Li and Mofang’s bond gets stronger. Shen Li gives him the responsibility of returning Zixia’s batch to his family. In the evening, Shen Li and Mofang get drunk together. Mofang carries her on his back and takes her to see the stars. Meanwhile, Xing Zhi comes looking for Shen Li at her palace. He gets worried when he hears that she is yet to return.
In episode 18 of The Legend of Shen Li, Xing Zhi and Furong see Shen Li and Mofang sitting on the terrace. Furong creates a big scene. Xing Zhi apologizes for Furong’s indecent behavior. He feels like he has overstayed his welcome and wants to go back to the Divine Realm. Xing Zhi promises to report the misconduct Furong committed in the immortal realm, but only after Shen Li marries him.
Xing Zhi’s words deeply affect Shen Li. She can’t concentrate on anything and keeps remembering the intimate moments she shared with Xing Zhi. Meanwhile, Mu Yue sends her off to investigate the strange case of the water immortals in the North Sea.
