Sitges Opens its Arms to The Orphanage

Del Toro-produced pic launches fest



The 40th Annual Sitges Film Fest, the place to be for genre films across the board, will kick off its October run with the Juan Antonio Bayona-directed, Guillermo del Toro-produced The Orphanage.

Other flicks playing throughout the fest’s stint in Catalonia (it runs from the 4th to the 14th) include The Fall by Tarsem Singh (The Cell), Park Chan-wook’s I’m a Cyborg, and That’s Okay, Inside, Waz, 1408 and Butterfly on a Wheel starring Pierce Brosnan, Gerard Butler and Maria Bello.

George A. Romero will be present to receive a Time Machine award.
