WWE United States Champion Logan Paul received a message from LA Knight ahead of WWE SmackDown. Paul’s last in-ring appearance was in May against Cody Rhodes for the WWE Undisputed title at the King & Queen of the Ring live event, where he narrowly lost after a tough match.
Leading up to the Cody Rhodes bout, WWE teased a possible showdown between Logan Paul and LA Knight. Both wrestlers met backstage, but their confrontation was interrupted by General Manager Nick Aldis.
Last year at WWE Crown Jewel, Logan Paul challenged Rey Mysterio for the US title. During their match, Logan Paul utilized brass knuckles, knocking out Rey Mysterio and securing his first WWE title, the United States Championship.
Currently, a storm of criticism is brewing around WWE United States Champion Logan Paul. Though he only appears for major events like WrestleMania, Royal Rumble, and SummerSlam, Paul has rarely defended his title. Till now, he has participated in two defenses, one against Kevin Owens at the Royal Rumble and another in a WrestleMania 40 triple threat.
Meanwhile, Paul’s part-time schedule has allowed him to hold the title for over 250 days. This inactivity hasn’t gone unnoticed by the fans, who slam him for being a part-timer who’s only defended the championship twice since his November 2023 win. LA Knight, clearly frustrated by his exclusion from the title picture, has stepped up to challenge Paul directly.
LA Knight claims Logan Paul has never defeated him
WWE Superstars LA Knight and Logan Paul have recently been engaged in a back-and-forth rivalry. Knight even visited Paul’s home a few weeks ago. Knight, who has openly expressed his desire to capture the United States Championship, mentioned ahead of WWE SmackDown that Paul has never defeated him. This is despite Paul holding the US title for over 250 days.
This call-out clearly got under Logan Paul’s skin, leading to both stars exchanging words once again. Knight even hinted that he might show up at Paul’s house once again. The rivalry between Knight and Paul has heated up over the past few weeks, and fans are speculating that it could culminate in a match for the US title at WWE SummerSlam.
