WWE Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn’s former rival Johnny Knoxville teased an appearance at Money in the Bank 2024. The duo had one of the most entertaining feuds back in 2022. The conflict began in early 2022 during the lead-up to the Royal Rumble where Knoxville entered the match but was eliminated by Zayn.
However, a few months later, Knoxville cost Zayn his Intercontinental title by interfering in a match against Ricochet. This led to a huge contest at WrestleMania 38, where the former played multiple pranks on the WWE Superstar, including leaking his phone number to fans to overwhelm Zayn with calls and messages. Following this, the latter interrupted Knoxville at the premiere of his film, Jackass: The Movie.
Both Zayn and Knoxville then put on one of the best matches on the second night of WrestleMania 38. Recently, Knoxville made an appearance at Zayn’s stand-up show for the Netflix Is a Joke festival. However, he was removed from the stage following their interaction during the show.
WWE Money in the Bank is approaching. The event will be held in Zayn’s hometown, Toronto, Canada. Moreover, his old rival Knoxville has hinted at making an appearance. He shared a selfie on his Instagram story, showing himself at the Los Angeles airport. He stood in front of a screen that showed a delayed flight to Toronto.
Sami Zayn’s response to Johnny Knoxville’s tease
The WWE Intercontinental Champion reacted to Knoxville’s tease about attending Money in the Bank. Zayn posted a screenshot of his rival’s Instagram story on Twitter, expressing disbelief with the caption, “WTF IS THIS?” Additionally, he retweeted the post promoting his “Sami Zayn & Friends Do Toronto” show, suggesting that Knoxville might interrupt again and reignite their entertaining rivalry during his show.
It will be interesting to see if Knoxville makes an appearance at WWE Money in the Bank 2024, as Zayn is set to defend his title against Bron Breakker in a singles match. Stay tuned for updates.
