He made his way into the independent wrestling scene, where he, alongside The Elite, consisting of The Young Bucks, Kenny Omega, and Hangman Page, found major success outside WWE. This journey culminated in The Young Bucks and Cody Rhodes producing the first-ever wrestling show, All In, which drew over 10,000 fans.
It was the first major wrestling event in decades outside WWE to achieve such massive attendance. Following the success of All In, The Young Bucks and Cody Rhodes connected with Tony Khan, leading to the foundation of All Elite Wrestling.

Cody Rhodes shares what veterans should learn from Triple H
WWE Undisputed Champion Cody Rhodes recently appeared on Jonathan Coachman’s “Behind The Turnbuckle” podcast alongside wrestling legend Diamond Dallas Page. During the show, Rhodes addressed how veterans in the wrestling business shouldn’t force their formula for success on rising stars.
He stated, “Have an open mind. A lot of the luminaries, legends, old-timers, veterans, when they mix with this modern locker room, the mistake is made of saying: ‘This is the only way it’s meant to be done. These are the rules. They’re rigid, they’re firm.’ … That type of motivation doesn’t work. That type of ‘Hey I did it all and I was at the top of my game so you have to listen to everything I’m saying.’ I’ve noticed talent today, especially younger talent, are more independent-minded than they’re ever been. They’re more strong-minded about what they can do. If you’re one of these guys coming in, having an open mind is the greatest thing ever. Triple H is the prime example.”
Cody Rhodes emphasized the importance of open-mindedness, suggesting that veterans should emulate Triple H’s approach in the business of the upcoming talent.
