WWE Superstar Chad Gable’s match has been announced for Clash at the Castle 2024 amidst news of his contract expiry. The latest edition of WWE RAW witnessed chaos involving Alpha Academy, Chad Gable, and Sami Zayn.
Sami Zayn, addressing the fans, came out to talk about recent events involving Alpha Academy. He called out Chad Gable, but only Otis, Akira Tozawa, and Maxxine Dupri appeared. The faction delivered a message from Chad Gable, stating that he doesn’t think Zayn is worthy of his time. Gable claimed he had dominated Zayn in the past and demanded a title match. Zayn responded that if a title match is what it takes to end this, then he accepts it. Thus, Zayn will defend the title at Clash of the Castle.
Zayn then addressed the other members of Alpha Academy, questioning whether they were fed up with their leader, Chad Gable, and urging them to free themselves from Gable’s influence once and for all. However, in the midst of the chaos, Chad Gable ambushed Sami Zayn from behind. As a result, Zayn knocks off Maxxine Dupri and Akira Tozawa during the chaos. This caused Otis to appear conflicted before executing a World’s Strongest Slam on Zayn, allowing Gable to hold the title. Otis then carried both Dupri and Tozawa away with him.
The announcement of the match raises an interesting question, considering reports that Gable’s WWE contract is expiring this week. With WWE announcing his Clash at the Castle 2024 match in Scotland next week, it prompts speculation about whether Gable has renewed his contract with the promotion.
Chad Gable’s contract with WWE expiring soon
WWE Superstar Chad Gable, who recently turned heel, is in a feud with Sami Zayn. However, with Gable showing his incredible work in the past few months, a major update has arrived regarding his contract status. According to Fightful Select, Chad Gable’s current contract is set to expire on June 7. Furthermore, there’s not been any confirmation of Gable re-signing with the promotion as of yet.
But given that WWE has already announced his bout for Clash at the Castle 2024 in Scotland the following week, it would be interesting to watch how his contract situation develops.
