After his historic win at WWE WrestleMania 40, Cody Rhodes received a message from WWE Superstar John Cena. Rhodes, who defeated Roman Reigns in the main event of WrestleMania 40, was assisted by plenty of WWE superstars.
Among those superstars was none other than John Cena, who himself had a bone to pick with The Bloodline. Cena came to Cody Rhodes’ aid when Solo Sikoa interfered in the match. He took out both Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa. However, he was then taken out by The Final Boss, The Rock, with a Rock Bottom.
At the end of this match, Roman Reigns was hit with three Cross Rhodes, leading him to lose the match. Cody Rhodes captured the WWE Universal Championship for the first time in his career. After the victory, John Cena tweeted Rhodes, congratulating him for his big win at WrestleMania 40.
The show ended with Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, LA Knight, Randy Orton, Jey Uso, and John Cena joining the Rhodes family in celebrating Cody Rhodes’ win.
