LA Knight, a rising star in the wrestling world, has recently found himself in the crosshairs of criticism from industry veteran Kevin Nash. Nash shares his insights on the wrestling industry through his podcast, Kliq This.
In one of his podcast episodes, Nash hasn’t minced words. He drew comparisons between Knight’s persona and that of The Rock regarding his assessment of LA Knight. However, Knight has shrugged off Nash’s comments, maintaining his focus on his own journey.
In a candid interview on the Gorilla Position podcast, Knight addressed Nash’s criticisms, revealing that he has not directly spoken to Nash about the matter. Instead, he has chosen to heed the advice of friends who have urged him to ignore the negativity.
He stated, “No, but I’ve had conversations with his friends about it and they’ve all been like, ‘Ah, don’t listen to this stuff.’ Whatever. What am I going to do, worry about that? In a certain sense, there is one part of me that’s like, if this guy wants to take food off my table, that’s cool. It’s a piece of shit move, but that’s cool. At the same time, why am I going to bother thinking too much about it?”
Steadfast in his commitment to his craft, Knight refused to be swayed by external criticism. He continues to carve out his own path in the wrestling industry.
WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash’s remarks on LA Knight
Last July, LA Knight captured the hearts of WWE fans worldwide, emerging as a heavy favorite to clinch the coveted Money in the Bank contract. However, his victory was snatched away by Damian Priest who won the match. The crowd at London’s O2 Arena, fervently rallying behind Knight, was devastated by his loss in the match.
Despite Knight’s popularity among fans, WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash remains unimpressed, asserting that Knight is merely a copycat of The Rock.
Nash stated, “Am I the only one that sees like an absolute ripoff of The Rock to the point when he cut the promo on fuing Logan Paul or whatever the fu his name is. The only thing he didn’t do is turn the motherfu**er sideways. Jesus Christ, does everybody have amnesia? There’s nothing original.”
Despite Kevin Nash’s critical remarks, LA Knight’s career trajectory has remained meteoric. Nash’s comments have not hindered Knight; in fact, his star has continued to reach remarkable heights.
Since last July, Knight has solidified his position as a top-tier talent, achieving feats that many only dream of. From sharing the ring with the legendary John Cena to headlining marquee events such as Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia opposite Roman Reigns, LA Knight has consistently delivered captivating performances.
