He later dropped the title to John Cena in a memorable clash at Royal Rumble 2017. His second reign commenced in 2017 after defeating Jinder Mahal on an episode of SmackDown, spanning over a year before Danielson’s heel turn led to his title loss in 2018.

Despite these setbacks, Styles may need to work his way back to the top. However, WWE seems to have plans for him in a major match at WrestleMania 40. Styles interfered in the men’s Elimination Chamber match at Elimination Chamber, resulting in Knight’s elimination. This altercation suggests Styles and Knight may clash in a singles match at WrestleMania 40.
