Chris Jericho’s lionheart gimmick returns ahead of AEW Revolution
On AEW Dynamite, fans were treated to an intense encounter as Chris Jericho brought back his iconic Lionheart gimmick. He faced off against CMLL’s Atlantis Jr., son of the legendary luchador. This marked Jericho’s return to the ring following his last match against Konosuke Takeshita, where he faced defeat on February 7, 2024.
In an electrifying match, Jericho squared off against Atlantis Jr., showcasing his skills and experience in the ring. Despite the fierce competition, Jericho managed to secure victory by locking in his signature Walls of Jericho submission hold.
Following the match, a moment of mutual respect unfolded as Atlantis Jr. and his father, both legends in their own right, joined Jericho in the ring. The trio exchanged gestures of respect, acknowledging each other’s contributions to the world of professional wrestling. Notably, Jericho shared a heartfelt hug with his former rival Atlantis.
