Mya, a junior at Colorado State University, recently gained the spotlight by setting a record in the shot put, showcasing her prowess as a track and field athlete. The previous school record was 17.55 meters.
Mya Lesnar’s stellar performance at the competition included two throws in the 16-meter range, securing her first place. Despite fouling her third and fourth-round attempts, she triumphed on her sixth throw, shattering the school record by almost 3 meters with a mark of 18.50 meters and earning her the Mountain West Women’s Field Athlete of the Week award.
