The first trailer for the upcoming Dune: Prophecy prequel series has been released.
Max has shared the first official trailer for Dune: Prophecy, a new prequel series set before the events of 2021’s Dune and 2024’s Dune: Part Two. The six-episode season will premiere on the streaming service this fall.

What is Dune: Prophecy about?
“From the expansive universe of Dune, created by acclaimed author Frank Herbert, and 10,000 years before the ascension of Paul Atreides, Dune: Prophecy follows two Harkonnen sisters as they combat forces that threaten the future of humankind and establish the fabled sect that will become known as the Bene Gesserit,” the official logline reads. “Dune: Prophecy is inspired by the novel ‘Sisterhood of Dune,’ written by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson.”
Dune: Prophecy stars Emily Watson, Olivia Williams, Travis Fimmel, Jodhi May, Mark Strong, Sarah-Sofie Boussnina, Josh Heuston, Chloe Lea, Jade Anouka, Faoileann Cunningham, Edward Davis, Aoife Hinds, Chris Mason, Shalom Brune-Franklin, Jihae, Tabu, Charithra Chandran, Jessica Barden, Emma Canning, and Yerin Ha.
Alison Schapker serves as the showrunner and an executive producer on Dune: Prophecy, while Diane Ademu-John co-developed the series and also serves as an executive producer. Anna Foerster directed multiple episodes of Dune: Prophecy and additionally serves as an executive producer alongside Jordan Goldberg, Mark Tobey, John Cameron, Matthew King, Scott Z. Burns, Jon Spaihts, Brian Herbert, Byron Merritt, and Kim Herbert.
Kevin J. Anderson also serves as a co-producer. Dune: Prophecy will premiere on Max in fall 2024. Denis Villeneuve’s Dune, meanwhile, is currently streaming on Max, while Dune: Part Two is available to rent or purchase on digital streaming services such as Apple TV+ and Amazon Prime Video.
Dune: Part Two is also scheduled to hit Max on May 21, 2024.
