The trailer for Trying Season 4 previews the latest chapter in the critically acclaimed Apple TV+ comedy, which stars BAFTA Award nominee Esther Smith and SAG Award nominee Rafe Spall.
The new installment is set to return on Wednesday, May 22. Consisting of eight episodes, Trying Season 4 will debut with its first two episodes. From there, it will switch to one episode per week every Wednesday through July 3.
The Trying Season 4 trailer features a new single from London-based pop star BEKA, which is titled Forever. Additionally, music from BEKA features throughout the upcoming season’s soundtrack as original songs are set to debut in each episode.

What to expect from Trying Season 4, and who else is in the cast?
The new season fast-forwards to six years later. By that point, Nikki (Smith) and Jason (Spall) are experienced at adopting and have built up a nuclear family. They’re helped by a support system. But as their teenage daughter, Princess (Scarlett Rayner), begins to seek a connection with her birth mother, Nikki and Jason face a strong test of their parenting skills.
Along with Smith, Spall, and Rayner, the cast includes Sian Brooke, BAFTA Award winner Darren Boyd, and welcomes Rayner and Cooper Turner.
Trying is created, written, and executive produced by Andy Wolton. It’s also executive produced by BAFTA Award nominee Josh Cole, Sam Pinnell, and Chris Sussman. The series is produced by BBC Studios.
