Apple TV+ has released the trailer for Midnight Family (Familia de Medianoche), an upcoming Spanish medical drama starring Narcos: Mexico and Babylon actor Diego Calva and Ariel Award winner Joaquín Cosío.
Set to hit the streaming giant on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, the 10-episode medical drama revolves around a family who, aboard their private ambulance service, makes a living by serving people needing medical care. As they help save lives daily, they also fight to save theirs. It is inspired by the award-winning documentary of the same name.
Per the official synopsis, Midnight Family “follows Marigaby Tamayo, an ambitious and gifted medical student by day, who spends her nights saving lives throughout a sprawling, contrasted and fascinating Mexico City aboard her family’s privately owned ambulance. Along with her father Ramón and her siblings Marcus and Julito, Marigaby serves a population of millions by tackling extreme medical emergencies to make a living.”

Who stars in Midnight Family?
In addition to Calva as Marcus and Cosío as Ramón, Midnight Family — produced for Apple TV+ by Fremantle and Fabula — stars Renata Vaca (Saw X) as Marigaby Tamayo and Sergio Bautista as Julito. The upcoming series also features special guest appearances from Óscar Jaenada (Hernán), José María de Tavira (El Candidato), Itzan Escamilla (Élite), Mariana Gómez (The Queen of Flow), Dolores Heredia (Capadocia), and Yalitza Aparicio (Roma).
Created for television by Julio Rojas and Gibrán Portela, the series hails from showrunner and director Natalia Beristáin. It is produced by Juan de Dios Larraín and Pablo Larraín. Executive producers are Ángela Poblete, Mariane Hartard, Beristáin, Rodrigo Herranz, Christian Vesper, Luke Lorentzen, Kellen Quinn, Josh Braun, and Jonathan Bouzali.
Midnight Family debuts on Apple TV+ with two episodes on September 25, with new episodes airing Wednesdays through November 20.
