Netflix has released the Carol & The End of the World trailer for its newest adult-animated sci-fi dramedy. The 10-episode limited series is scheduled to make its debut on December 15.
The video introduces Emmy-nominated actress Martha Kelly as the titular middle-aged woman, as she reflects on what her life has been before the world gets crushed by another planet. She tries to figure out what she wants to do with the remaining time she left.

What to expect in Carol & The End of the World?
“With a mysterious planet hurtling towards Earth, extinction is imminent for the people of the world,” reads the synopsis. “While most feel liberated to pursue their wildest dreams, one quiet and always uncomfortable woman stands alone — lost among the hedonistic masses.”
Carol & The End of the World is created and executive produced by Dan Guterman (Community, Rick and Morty), who described the series as “a love letter to routine. A show about the comforts of monotony.” It also features the voices of Beth Grant, Lawrence Pressman, Kimberly Hébert Gregory, Mel Rodriguez, Bridget Everett, Michael Chernus and Delbert Hunt. Joining are the cast are a guest-star lineup consisting of Alison Brie, Danny Pudi, Gillian Jacobs, Barkhad Abdi, Laurie Metcalf, Kurtwood Smith, LeVar Burton, Stephen Colbert, and Tim Heidecker.
The series is executive produced by Donick Cary (The Simpsons, Parks and Recreation, Silicon Valley) and Kevin Arrieta (Wilfred, The Last O.G.). It hails from Bardel Entertainment.
