Prime Video has dropped the official trailer for its forthcoming family comedy series titled The Lake, starring Julia Stiles and Jordan Gavaris. It will be available for streaming on Friday, June 17.
The video, which you can check out below, features Gavaris’ Justin as he returns to the lake where he spent most of his summer childhood. However, he discovers that his evil stepsister now owns their family cottage, which will trigger an epic sibling rivalry for the rights to the house.

Set as Amazon Studios’ first scripted Canadian original series, The Lake will be led by Jordan Gavaris (Orphan Black), Julia Stiles (10 Things I Hate About You), and Madison Shamoun (Black-ish). Joining them are Terry Chen, Travis Nelson, Natalie Lisinska, Jon Dore, Carolyn Scott, and Declan Whaley.
“In the series, Justin, a recently divorced gay man, brings Billie, the biracial daughter he gave up for adoption, to the lake where he summered as a boy,” reads the synopsis. “Justin hopes spending the summer together with Billie will bring them closer. Still, Justin’s obsession with wresting control of his family cottage back from his stepsister Maisy-May only pushes them further apart. It will take a lot of growing up for all parties to learn how they fit into a family, including the Iron Lady of the lake, Maisy.”

The Lake is written and executive produced by Julian Doucet. It is a production by Amaze, with Michael Souther and Teza Lawrence serving as executive producers.
