Fans of Loren Bouchard’s latest musical-infused animated series rejoice as Apple TV has not only set a June premiere date and given the first teaser for the second season of Central Park but has also announced a third season renewal for the Emmy-nominated hit! In season two of “Central Park,” the Tillerman family continues to navigate living in and caring for the world’s most famous park. Molly experiences the trials and tribulations of adolescence, Cole is challenged by a truly embarrassing moment at school, Paige continues to chase down the mayor’s corruption story, and Owen juggles managing the park, his staff and his family all with a smile on his face. Meanwhile, Bitsy inches ever closer to her sinister goal of claiming Central Park as her own; with Helen by her side, eternally wondering whether she’s made it into Bitsy’s will. Every step of the way, we are guided along by our friendly, fumbling, fiddler narrator, Birdie.
In the first look at the second season, which will premiere on June 25, Helen (voiced by Daveed Diggs) proclaims her love for her hometown in a special song called “Weehawken Rap.”
Central Park follows a family of caretakers, the Tillermans, who lives in the titular New York City locale. As park manager Owen and journalist Paige raise their kids, they must fend off hotel heiress Bitsy Brandenham and her long-suffering assistant, who would love nothing more than to turn the park into condos.
The voice cast features Josh Gad, Leslie Odom Jr. (Hamilton), Titus Burgess (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt), Emmy Raver-Lampman (The Umbrella Academy), Kristen Bell (The Good Place), Stanley Tucci (Feud), Daveed Diggs (Hamilton) and Kathryn Hahn (I Love Dick).

The series is created and executive produced by Bouchard, Gad and Nora Smith (Bob’s Burgers), who will also be serving as a consultant. Regina Hicks, Sanjay Shah and Halstead Sullivan are also executive producing. Kevin Larsen will produce alongside Brillstein Entertainment Partners, who are executive producing.
The series hails from 20th Century Fox Television, which produces animated hits Bob’s Burgers, The Simpsons, Family Guy, and American Dad, to name a few. The order for the show is for 13 episodes per season, totaling 26 in the two-season order. Central Park is a key sale for 20th Century Fox Television, which had been acquired by Disney as part of 21st Century Fox’s larger $52 billion deal.
