New Dirty John: The Betty Broderick Story Teaser Sets Premiere Date

USA Network has released a brand new Dirty John: The Betty Broderick Story teaser trailer for the upcoming second season of their true crime anthology series Dirty John. The video gives highlight to Amanda Peet’s portrayal of the titular character who was convicted for murdering her ex-husband in 1989. Season 2 will be making its debut on Tuesday, June 2 with two back-to-back episodes. Check out the video in the player below!

Set in the ’60s and well into the ’80s, the second season follows Betty, the perfect Southern California blonde wife and mother while her handsome husband Dan charms everyone she meets. She supported him through medical and law school and things shifted when he became a superstar in the San Diego legal community. Just when she was celebrating Dan’s success, he hires Linda, a beautiful young woman — and that’s where things start to unravel. Betty attempts to fight back against Dan’s cold confidence and she loses her identity as things go off the rails.

Dirty John: The Betty Broderick Story will star Amanda Peet (Brockmire, Togetherness, The Good Wife) and Golden Globe winner Christian Slater (Mr. Robot, Dr. Death, True Romance).  It will also feature Rachel Keller as Linda, Lily Donoghue as Tracy, Miles Emmons as Anthony, and Tiera Skovbye as Betty.

Produced by UCP, a division of NBCUniversal Content Studios, Dirty John: The Betty Broderick Story is written by Alexandra Cunningham, who also executive produces along with Jessica Rhoades (The Affair, Sharp Objects), season one star Connie Britton, Atlas Entertainment and Los Angeles Times Studios. Netflix co-produces and has first-run rights to the series outside of the U.S.
