Tiffany Haddish (Night School, The Last O.G.) is executive producing a new comedy series, Unsubscribed, currently in development at HBO. The project is Haddish’s first under her first-look deal with HBO, where she will develop new projects with the premium cable network under a two-year pact.
Unsubscribed is described as a comedy that will examine female blackness, beauty, and identity through a behind-the-scenes look at the Instagram hustle. The series is being co-written and executive produced by actress Xosha Roquemore (The Mindy Project, I’m Dying Up Here) and Danielle Henderson (Divorce, Difficult People). Unsubscribed will serve as Roquemore’s first writing credit.
Haddish has been in high demand since her breakout success in Girls Trip. The actress can currently be seen starring opposite Tracy Morgan in The Last O.G. comedy series on TBS, as well as in Kevin Hart’s upcoming comedy movie, Night School, coming out September 28, 2018. It was also recently announced that Haddish will voice the lead part in Netflix’s forthcoming animated series Tuca and Bertie.
On top of her onscreen credits, Haddish released a stand-up special on Showtime last year as well as her first book last December titled The Last Black Unicorn, which made the New York Times’ best-seller list.
