Marvel Entertainment has announced yet another cast member for the upcoming Marvel’s Inhumans with the addition of Ken Leung (The Night Shift, Lost) as Minister Karnak! Karnak’s special ability is to see the fault in all things, such as people, plans, buildings, or anything else, but what makes him different from other Inhumans is he was never exposed to the Terrigen Mists that grant them their powers. He works as the chief strategist for King Black Bolt.
“Ken brings both a wisdom and a power to the role that no one else could match. His Karnak will be awesome,” executive producer Jeph Loeb said.
Showrunner Scott Buck adds: “Ken Leung has a great natural intelligence that reads clearly and will add depth and complexity to the very complicated character of Karnak.”
He joins a cast that includes Anson Mount (Hell on Wheels) as Black Bolt, Serinda Swan (Graceland) as Medusa, and Iwan Rheon (Game of Thrones) as Maximus.
Set to debut this September, a version of the first two episodes of the new ABC series will premiere exclusively in IMAX theatres for a two-week window, prior to the 8-episode network run.
Marvel’s Inhumans is executive produced by Scott Buck (Dexter, Marvel’s Iron Fist) along with Jeph Loeb (Marvel’s Daredevil, Marvel’s Jessica Jones, Marvel’s Luke Cage) and Jim Chory (Marvel’s Daredevil, Marvel’s Jessica Jones, Marvel’s Luke Cage), with Buck serving as showrunner. Roel Reine (Admiral, Black Sails) will direct the first two episodes. The series is co-produced by Marvel Television and ABC Studios.
