New details regarding the cast and plot of Stranger Things Season 5 have finally surfaced. The final installment in the fantastical series is set to welcome a hoard of new faces, including two child actors. Fans of the show have also been treated to the title revelation of episode 1 of Stranger Things Season 5, which could come out sometime in 2025.
Stranger Things Season 5 casts Alex Breaux and two child actors
Netflix has disclosed that Alex Breaux, along with younger stars Nell Fisher and Jake Connelly, have officially joined the cast of Stranger Things Season 5. The trio follows in the footsteps of Linda Hamilton, who will also make her franchise debut in the fifth edition.
Despite the confirmation, the exact roles of the newly added cast members are currently unknown. Filming for the season commenced in January 2024 and is currently in its midway stage.
To commemorate the halfway mark of the filming process, the team behind Stranger Things recently released a behind-the-scenes video. In the said snippet, the Stranger Things Season 5 cast can be seen shooting scenes in multiple locations.
Stranger Things Season 5 episode 1 title and first scene lines revealed
Alongside the cast reveal, the showrunners have also communicated the title of episode 1, as well as its first few lines.
The debut chapter of Stranger Things Season 5 has been named The Crawl. Nevertheless, Netflix has yet to divulge any other information regarding the meaning and significance of the said title. They have, however, revealed the first two lines that will announce the beginning of the ultimate season in the series. According to Tudum by Netflix, the initial lines of the fifth installment read,
“The sound of COLD WIND. GROANING TREES. And… A CHILD’S VOICE. Singing a familiar song:”
While the series is finally concluding after a decade, fans of the show can still entertain themselves with its spin-off material. A stage play titled Stranger Things: The First Shadow is currently playing in London’s West End. Moreover, an untitled animated series is also in the development stage at Netflix, as per Deadline.
