A planned comedy series set in the world of The Office has found two of its stars, with Deadline reporting that Domhnall Gleeson and Sabrina Impacciatore have joined the series.
Gleeson (The Patient, the Star Wars sequel trilogy) and Impacciatore (The White Lotus) are the first two stars to join what Deadline reports will be an ensemble cast. Their roles are being kept under wraps as of now, however, as the project remains in development.
The planned comedy series will come from Greg Daniels and Michael Koman, and is said to be a follow-up of sorts to the hit comedy series The Office. While it won’t act as a reboot or sequel, the series is said to be set in a new office with new characters, but will exist in the same world as the original series.
What we know about The Office follow-up series
As of now, the plot for the follow-up series to The Office is mostly unknown. A report from Deadline in January noted that ideas for the series could see a documentary crew filming a documentary about a different subject.
Impacciatore is best known for her role in Season 2 of the hit HBO series The White Lotus, where she played hotel manager Valentina. She’ll next appear in the 2024 action thriller G20, where she’ll star alongside Viola Davis.
Gleeson is best known for his roles in the Star Wars sequel trilogy, where he played General Armitage Hux. Up next for Gleeson are roles in Michael Pearce’s thriller Echo Valley, and Guy Ritchie’s heist film Fountain of Youth.
