Hilary Swank doesn’t think she’s reprising her role as Julie Pierce in the final season of Netflix’s Cobra Kai.
Speaking with Collider, Swank was asked if there was any chance that fans would get to see her in the upcoming sixth and final season of Cobra Kai.
“I don’t think I am, unfortunately,” she answered. “I know. It’s, like, the number one question I get right now. Most people usually say, ‘What’s it like working with Clint Eastwood?’ But I think, ‘Are you going to be on Cobra Kai?’ has almost surpassed that.’”
When asked if she had any involvement in the new Karate Kid movie starring Ben Wang, Ralph Macchio, and Jackie Chan, Swank said, “Is there a new Karate Kid being made? What are they calling it? […] Because I was The Next Karate Kid.”
Swank played Julie Pierce in the fourth installmenent in The Karate Kid franchise, The Next Karate Kid. Released in 1994, the movie was directed by Christopher Cain and also starred Noriyuki “Pat” Morita, Michael Ironside, Constance Towers, and Chris Conrad.
