Now that the seventh season of Rick and Morty has officially concluded, fans can revisit Season 7 when it heads to its new streaming home. Adult Swim has announced that Rick and Morty Season 7 will be heading to Max on January 22, 2024.
Though Season 7 is available on Adult Swim’s official website, Max subscribers can now catch up on all ten episodes of the latest season. The seventh season of the hit adult animated series, which premiered on October 15, saw some major changes behind the scenes, with Ian Cardoni and Harry Belden replacing co-creator Justin Roiland as the voices for protagonists Rick Sanchez and Morty Smith.
What to expect from Rick and Morty Season 7?
The award-winning show premiered in 2013 and follows “the misadventures of an alcoholic scientist Rick and his overly nervous grandson Morty, who split their time between domestic family life and intergalactic travel.”
Throughout six seasons, Roiland has served as the voice for both titular characters. However, in January 2023, Adult Swim dismissed Roiland following domestic violence allegations, which was later dismissed. As a result, the seventh season kicked off with new voice cast members Cardoni and Belden as the voices for Rick and Morty, respectively.
The rest of the voice cast includes Jon Allen as Mr. Poopy Butthole, Chris Parnell as Jerry Smith, Sarah Chalke as Beth Smith, Spencer Grammer as Summer Smith, and Keith David as the President, among others.
The official synopsis for Rick and Morty Season 7 reads: “Rick and Morty are back and sounding more like themselves than ever. It’s season seven, and the possibilities are endless: what’s up with Jerry? EVIL Summer?! And will they ever go back to the high school?! Maybe not! But let’s find out!”
Rick and Morty Season 7 arrives on Max on January 25.
