AMC has struck agreements with SAG-AFTRA to continue filming some of its series during the ongoing strikes, including The Walking Dead‘s spin-offs.
Which The Walking Dead shows can film during the strike?
Deadline has reported that AMC Networks has made agreements with SAG-AFTRA so that The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live, and Interview with the Vampire can resume production amidst the SAG-AFTRA strike, which began on July 14.
The outlet notes that the agreements are specific to those series and not a blanket agreement between AMC and SAG-AFTRA. It also states that Daryl Dixon Season 2 is filming in Europe and that Interview With the Vampire is filming in Prague. Additionally, The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live will resume its post-production process.
These aren’t the only shows to reach such agreements, though they’re likely the most major ones to do so. Other such series include the Jesus Christ-focused show The Chosen, Apple’s Tehran, and Hal and Harper.
SAG-AFTRA also keeps a running list of which projects it has handed out agreements to. So far, over 200 projects have been given passes to continue filming. Some of these include high-profile projects from studios like A24’s Death of a Unicorn starring Paul Rudd and Jenna Ortega, and Mother Mary starring Michaela Coel and Anne Hathaway. Ferrari, which stars Adam Driver and Penélope Cruz, was also recently given an interim agreement.
