More than a month since series creator Simon Barry shared the good news to Warrior Nun fans that the series has officially been saved, a brand new update regarding the hit action fantasy has finally been revealed. In a new video shared through warriornunsaved.com, executive producer Dean English announced that Warrior Nun would be coming back in the form of a movie trilogy. In addition, he also expressed his gratitude towards the fans’ relentless support of the show.
“I need to start by thanking all of you loyal fans. It’s because of you and your incredible energy that we keep pushing forward to make these stories. You make it all worthwhile. So thank you so much for your continued support,” English said.
Due to the ongoing Hollywood strikes, he admitted that he couldn’t make any further announcements regarding the Warrior Nun trilogy project. However, he teased that they might be planning to expand the franchise.
“Some may ask, ‘Does this perhaps infer that there’s going to be a universe being launched of Warrior Nun, which could expand into films and TV series following characters that we already know?’ The answer to that question is yes. And there will be more details in the future.”
