Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe has commented on the idea of making a cameo in the upcoming HBO reboot TV series.
Radcliffe portrayed the famous wizard in the movie series from 2001 to 2011. Since his last appearance in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, he has appeared in films like The Lost City and Weird: The Al Yankovic Story. Meanwhile, the Wizarding World has expanded with three movies in the Fantastic Beasts series, serving as a prequel to Harry’s story.
Will Daniel Radcliffe be in the Harry Potter reboot?
HBO recently announced they would reboot Harry Potter with a TV adaptation of J.K. Rowling’s novels for Max. Radcliffe recently told ComicBook.com about the potential of appearing in the new Harry Potter show.
“My understanding is that they’re trying to very much start fresh and I’m sure whoever is making them will want to make their own mark on it and probably not want to have to figure out how to get old Harry to cameo in this somewhere,” Radcliffe says. “So I’m definitely not seeking it out in any way. But I do wish them, obviously, all the luck in the world and I’m very excited to have that torch passed. But I don’t think it needs me to physically pass it.”
