The Joe Schmo Show reboot has officially been announced, with a new rendition of the iconic early 2000s television program coming back to TBS.
When does The Joe Schmo Show Reboot come out?
TBS announced on Wednesday that it was bringing back the prank television series in a re-imagined format. The Joe Schmo Show reboot will premiere next year, and will be hosted by five-time Emmy Award nominee Cat Deeley.
Much like its predecessor, The Joe Schmo Show will once again take a regular person and surround him with a group of actors, all of whom are pretending to also be regular folks on a game show trying to win a prize.

“When The Joe Schmo Show launched 20 years ago, it was ahead of its time,” said Jason Sarlanis, President, Turner Networks, ID and HLN, linear & streaming. “In rebooting this classic for a modern, savvy audience, it gives us the opportunity to comment on the often absurd and hilarious tropes of reality television in ways our viewers will love.”
The original series premiered back in 2003 on the cable network Spike, and ran for three seasons. The first season of the show, however, became its most infamous. Featuring a litany of actors who would go on to become extremely well-known — including Kristen Wiig, David Hornsby, Ralph Garman, and Lance Krall — the season culminated in contestant David Gould winning $100,000.
