According to Deadline, model and actress Cara Delevingne has been tapped for a series regular role in FX‘s upcoming American Horror Story Season 12, titled American Horror Story: Delicate. Delevingne will be joining previously announced cast members Kim Kardashian and American Horror Story alum Emma Roberts.
Delevingne most recently starred as Vignette in the final season of Prime Video’s Carnival Row. She also appeared in last year’s Only Murders in the Building Season 2, in which she portrayed an artist named Alice Banks. Her other acting credits include: Anna Karenina, Paper Towns, Suicide Squad, and Life in a Year.
American Horror Story: Delicate will be the first season to be based off of source material — specifically Danielle Valentine’s upcoming novel Delicate Condition. The next installment will be written and executive produced by Halley Feiffer, who will also serve as the showrunner. This marks Feiffer’s latest collaboration with Ryan Murphy after being one of the writers for Impeachment: American Crime Story.
“The Push meets The Silent Patient in a gripping thriller that follows a woman convinced a sinister figure is going to great lengths to make sure her pregnancy never happens — while the men in her life refuse to believe a word she says,” reads the novel’s synopsis.
American Horror Story: Delicate will be executive produced by Murphy, Brad Falchuk, Alexis Martin Woodall, and Scott Robertson. The network is currently planning to release the latest season this coming summer.
