The second season of the revival of Mike Judge’s hit series Beavis and Butt-Head is coming soon, with Paramount confirming that Season 2 of the series will premiere on Paramount+ on April 20, 2023.
The series — which was initially picked up as a two-season series last year — will premiere a day later in Australia and the U.K., and will see the return of the iconic characters Beavis and Butt-Head as they continue their adventures.
A brief teaser for the second season was also released, which can be seen below:
The first season of the series, which will be released on DVD later this month, is also available on Paramount+, as is the revival film Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe, which premiered in 2022. Currently, it’s unclear whether or not a third season of the series will be ordered.
Mike Judge’s Beavis & Butt-Head stars the voices of creator Mike Judge (King of the Hill), Piotr Michael (Lightyear), as well as Chris Diamantopoulos (The Three Stooges), Kosha Patel (The Newsroom), Jayden Libran (The Happytime Murders), Mary Birdsong (Succession), Brian Huskey (Veep), Tru Valentino (The Rookie), Ally Maki (Wrecked) and Toks Olagundoye (Castle).
Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe debuted on Paramount+ on June 23, 2022.
“In perhaps the dumbest space movie ever made, Beavis and Butt-head are sentenced to Space Camp by a “creative” judge in 1998, leading to a trip on the Space Shuttle, with predictably disastrous results,” reads the official synopsis for the film. “After going through a black hole, they reemerge in our time, where they look for love, misuse iPhones, and are hunted by the Deep State. Spoiler: They don’t score.”
The original Beavis and Butt-Head ran on-air for seven seasons from 1993 to 1997 on MTV. A theatrical film, Beavis and Butt-Head Do America, debuted in 1996.
