King of the Hill Revival Gets Series Order, Hulu Issues Statement

Hulu has officially given a straight-to-series order to creators Greg Daniels and Mike Judge’s forthcoming King of the Hill revival, based on the original Fox adult-animated sitcom. The project is expected to feature the return of the original voice cast members including Kathy Najimy, Stephen Root, Pamela Adlon, Johnny Hardwick, and Lauren Tom, who reprising their respective roles as Peggy Hill, Bill Dauterive, Bobby Hill, Dale Gribble, and Connie.

“We are all so excited to welcome back Hank, Peggy, and Bobby, and to see what they have to say about the world we live in and continue the conversations we began years ago,” President of ABC Entertainment, Hulu and Disney Branded Television streaming originals, Craig Erwich said in a statement (via The Hollywood Reporter). “This show has all of the perfect ingredients to meet this moment in animation at Hulu, and we’re so thankful to be having those conversations alongside this talented group.”

The King of the Hill revival will once again be executive produced by Daniels and Judge, with the latter also returning to voice his role as Hank Hill. The project is produced by 20th Television Animation and Bandera Entertainment.

It will also be executive produced by Dustin Davis along with original producers 3 Arts’ Michael Rottenberg and Howard Klein. This isn’t the first time that Hulu had greenlit an animated revival, as the streamer previously ordered the upcoming reboot of Futurama.
