True Detective‘s upcoming fourth season has found even more of its cast, as Variety is reporting that five more actors have joined onto the highly anticipated next installment.

John Hawkes (Deadwood), Christopher Eccleston (Doctor Who), Fiona Shaw (Killing Eve), Finn Bennett (The Nevers), and Anna Lambe (Three Pines) have all joined the upcoming season of the series, according to the report. The five actors will join previously announced stars Jodie Foster and Kali Reis, who are set to headline True Detective: Night Country.
Hawkes will play Hank Prior, a police officer who holds old grudges. Eccleston will play Ted Corsaro, the regional Chief of Police and someone who has big political aspirations. Shaw will play Rose Aguineau, “a survivalist with a past full of secrets.” Bennett will play Peter Prior, the protégé of Foster’s character LIz Danvers. Lambe will play Kayle Malee, a young nurse set to appear in the series.
True Detective: Night Country is being written by Issa López and Alan Page Arriaga, with Lopez expected to direct multiple episodes. It will be executive produced by Foster along with Barry Jenkins, Adele Romanski, and Mark Ceryak through their Pastel banner.
“When the long winter night falls in Ennis, Alaska, the six men that operate the Tsalal Arctic Research Station vanish without a trace,” reads the synopsis. “To solve the case, Detectives Liz Danvers (Foster) and Evangeline Navarro (Reis) will have to confront the darkness they carry in themselves, and dig into the haunted truths that lie buried under the eternal ice.”

Additional executive producers include Mari Jo Winkler, Matthew McConaughey, and Woody Harrelson, along with Cary Joji Fukunaga and series creator Nic Pizzolatto, who won’t be involved with the creative process of the fourth installment.
