After a full series, a movie, and multiple cameos on Better Call Saul, Aaron Paul says he is now officially closing the book on playing Jesse Pinkman ever again.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Paul spoke about his love of the character, a role that essentially skyrocketed the actor into superstardom. According to Paul, Pinkman will always have a special place in his heart, but there will be no more appearances as Pinkman.
“[Jesse Pinkman] will always have a special place inside of me, but I can confidently say that [Better Call Saul] was the last time we’re going to see Pinkman. So it was a nice farewell,” Paul said.
Paul also briefly touched on his and Walter Cranston’s cameo in Better Call Saul, saying that he didn’t initially expect to join the show at all, but had a blast, and was a huge fan of the series.
“Oh my God, I know. Honestly, I did not expect a call to join Better Call Saul,” said Paul. “I’m such a huge fan of the show, but I didn’t see how they were going to do it. And when the call came, I was half a season behind, and so I didn’t really know where the timeline was going. But from the moment they called me, I said, “Yeah, they figured it out. They knew how to do it.” So it was truly a dream to be back in this universe that Vince, Peter [Gould], Tom [Schnauz] and all the writers created.”
Although Paul may be done with the role of Jesse Pinkman, he does have a ton of great memories to look back on. During his time on Breaking Bad, Paul won three Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for his role, and also took home a litany of awards for the series a whole, which won two Primetime Emmys for Outstanding Drama Series during its run.

Recently, Paul has been starring in the hit HBO series Westworld, and also starred in the 2022 film Dual alongside Karen Gillan.
