Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, actor Temuera Morrison said that he would like to see Boba Fett return to the world of Star Wars and that he hopes to bring him back to the days of his old, “badass” self.

Morrison discussed the news amidst a discussion about the upcoming third season of The Mandalorian. The actor — who played a variety of Fetts across the prequel series of Star Wars and up to the recently released The Book of Boba Fett — seemed to acknowledge the less-than-stellar reviews of the series, noting that they should bring back the “old Boba Fett.”
“We’ve got to bring him back somewhere. We’ve got to see the old Boba Fett,” said Morrison. “We reintroduced him. We found out some stuff. But I think it’s time to get him back to his badass ways. No two ways around that,” the actor says, hopeful that Fett could return in some fashion. “So, I think we sort of have that scope to go back there, but that’s out of my control. I’ll just see what happens.”
Despite having a ton of anticipation before its premiere, Disney’s The Book of Boba Fett was received by many to be a bit of a disappointment due to its handling of the iconic bounty hunter.
