The series, tentatively titled Noonan’s, is set to focus on the character of Kite Man, someone who appears frequently in the Harley Quinn HBO Max series and is often seen as a lovable loser – a villain that isn’t quite as menacing or talented as his counterparts. Noonan’s will follow Kite Man and his new partner, Golden Glider, as they moonlight as criminals in order to try and finance their purchase of Noonan’s, a seedy bar in Gotham that many villains frequent.

Matt Oberg — who plays Kite Man in the original series — will reprise his role as Kite Man for the new series, which received a 10-episode order from HBO Max. Harley Quinn co-creators Justin Halpern, Patrick Schumacker, and Dean Lorey will executive produce the upcoming series, along with Harley Quinn star Kaley Cuoco and Sam Register. Lorey will serve as showrunner for the upcoming series.

Harley Quinn unlocked a world of hilarious possibilities with the iconic superheroes and supervillains of the DC Universe,” said Peter Girardi, executive vice president of alternative programming for Warner Bros. Animation. “Exploring this world further with our partners at HBO Max and DC is going to be a lot of fun. Plus, after getting dumped by Poison Ivy, the least we could do was give Kite Man his own show.”
