It has been two months since it was previously confirmed that Netflix had decided to pass on the opportunity to revive Jeff Rake’s popular sci-fi drama Manifest after it was suddenly canceled by NBC, and now it seems like the fan-favorite series might still get its second chance after all as the fight for its survival continues.
Due to the first two seasons’ impressive performance on Netflix, Deadline brings word that the streamer ultimately restarted negotiations with Warner Bros. Television for its potential fourth season renewal and is currently nearing the final stages of negotiations. Because of this, Warner Bros. TV has already started making deals with the cast and writers for its potential revival.
However, it’s stressed that the negotiations between Netflix and Warner Bros. TV are difficult because of complex factors involving Netflix wanting to also acquire the global rights to all Manifest seasons. This is an issue since the studio has already sold the series to international markets.

Manifest starred Josh Dallas, Melissa Roxburgh, Athena Karkanis, J.R. Ramirez, Luna Blaise, Jack Messina, Parveen Kaur, and Matt Long. The series concluded its three-season run last June, with a two-episode finale.
The series centered around a commercial airplane that mysteriously disappears, only to reappear five years later. While no time has passed for those on board, the world has gone on without them, and new mysteries unfold for the passengers as they seek to find answers as to how and why their plane disappeared years ago.
