Supergirl Cast Say Their Goodbyes as Filming Wraps on Final Season

Nearly six years since Supergirl had aired its first episode in 2015, the main cast including titular star Melissa Benoist took to their social media accounts to confirm that production on sixth and final season of the Arrowverse series has officially wrapped. In their post which you can check out below, they’ve also went on to say their goodbyes to the series, with each expressing how thankful they are for the cast and crew.

The series is scheduled to resume its sixth and final season later this month on August 24, with episode 6.08 titled “Welcome Back, Kara.”

Supergirl currently stars Melissa Benoist as Kara Danvers/Supergirl, Chyler Leigh as Alex Danvers, Katie McGrath (Merlin) as Lena Luthor, Jess Rath as Brainiac 5, David Harewood as Hank Henshaw/J’onn J’onnz, Nicole Maines as Nia/Dreamer, and Azie Tesfai as Kelly/Guardian.

Season 6 is also set to feature David Ramsey, who is returning to reprise his Arrow role as John Diggle. He is also set to direct the twelfth episode with series regulars Chyler Leigh and David Harewood also directing the sixth and seventh episodes, respectively. This season will also feature Eliza Helm as young Cat Grant and Jason Behr as a Kryptonian.

Based on the DC characters created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, the series is executive produced by Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Robert Rovner, Jessica Queller, and Rob Wright. Supergirl is produced by Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television.
