Four Actors Set to Reprise Roles in Sex and the City Sequel Series

The cast of the upcoming Sex and the City revival, And Just Like That…, continues to grow, with Variety reporting that four actors from the original series are set to reprise their roles.

Mario Cantone, David Eigenberg, Willie Garson, and Evan Handler are officially set to join the revival, returning as Anthony Marentino, Steve Brady, Stanford Blatch, and Harry Goldenblatt respectively. Getting the gang back together has clearly been a huge goal for the studio, and it seems as if things are coming along nicely when it comes to doing so.

“Everyone at And Just Like That… is thrilled to be able to continue the storylines of these beloved Sex and the City characters with the actors who made them so lovable,” said executive producer Michael Patrick King.

The four returning actors will join Chris Noth in coming back to the show, as Noth was announced as ready to reprise his role as Mr. Big last month. The revival will also see stars Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, and Kristina Davis returning as their original roles of Carrie, Miranda, and Charlotte as the trio attempts to navigate the journey from the complicated reality of life and friendship in their 30s to an even more complicated reality in their 50s.

The original Sex and the City series was set and shot in New York City, Nominated for over 50 Emmy Awards and winning seven, the HBO show had 94 episodes broadcast over six seasons, premiering on June 6, 1998 and concluding on February 22, 2004. It was followed by a Sex and the City movie in 2008, which was followed by Sex and the City 2 in 2010, both of which were successful at the box office. A Sex and the City 3 was developed in 2016 but ultimately cancelled reportedly due to co-star Kim Cattrall’s unwillingness to revisit the part of Samantha. Cattrall does not appear to be involved in the revival either
