According to Variety, the main cast of NBC’s fan-favorite sitcom Community will be participating on a virtual table read and Q&A along with creator Dan Harmon as a way to raise funds of COVID-19 relief charities consisting of José Andrés’ World Central Kitchen and Frontline Foods which both give foods to first responders who are working on the frontlines and vulnerable communities across America. The table read event and Q&A will be available for streaming on Monday, May 18 at 2 PM PT through Sony Pictures TV’s Community YouTube channel. In addition, fans can also submit their questions for the Q&A segment on social media with the #AskCommunity and tag @CommunityTV.
The virtual event will be including Community alums Joel McHale, Alison Brie, Ken Jeong, Gillian Jacobs, Danny Pudi, Yvette Nicole Brown, Jim Rash, and for the first time ever since his departure during the fifth season in 2014, Golden Globe and Emmy winner Donald Glover will also be joining the reunion. They will be reading episode 5.04 titled “Cooperative Polygraphy,” which was first aired on January 16, 2014.

Starring Joel McHale, Gillian Jacobs, Alison Brie, Donald Glover, Chevy Chase, Danny Pudi, and Yvette Nicole Brown, along with all kinds of crazy supporting cast members, Community chronicles the ups and downs of life at a surreal community college. It was created by Dan Harmon (Rick and Morty) and executive produced by the Russo Brothers (Avengers: Endgame) along with Neil Goldman, Garrett Donovan, Tristram Shapeero, Chris McKenna and Rob Schrab.

The series was based on Harmon’s personal community college experiences. Since its release, it had received critical acclaim including an Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series for Chris McKenna’s episode 3.04 titled “Remedial Chaos Theory.”

Community had run on-air from 2009 to 2005. It started out semi-grounded and only got crazier over the course of its six seasons, both on-screen and behind-the-scenes. The show spent its first three years constantly on the brink of cancellation over at NBC.
Eventually, due to a clash between the show’s notoriously hard-to-work-with mastermind Harmon and the show’s notoriously hard-to-work-with actor Chevy Chase, Harmon was fired and Chase quit before the show’s fourth season. They brought Harmon back for the fifth and final season at NBC, where the show moved to Yahoo!’s short-lived streaming service for an additional sixth season.
