The series, developed by Sheryl J. Anderson based on Woods’ novels (snag the first one here), follows three women. Best friends since childhood, the story focuses on their romantic, professional, and family lives in the charming small town of Serenity, South Carolina.

The trio are joining the previously cast Monica Potter (Parenthood), Brooke Elliott (Drop Dead Diva) and Heather Headley (She’s Gotta Have It, Chicago Med), who are all set to play the three childhood friends at the center of the story.

Klein, who was last seen in the previous season of The CW’s The Flash as the season’s big-bad Cicada, has signed on to play Bill Townsend, the town’s leading pediatrician who is working to find a new path in life after a fall from grace. Spears, who is best known for her roles in Nickelodeon’s All That and Zoey 101, will star as Noreen Fitzgibbons, a young nurse who after a string of bad choices is determined to build a new life in the small town. Bruening, who has been in a number of TV roles including the short-lived Knight Rider reboot, will play Cal Maddox, a former professional baseball player looking for a fresh start in the small town.
