Director Norman Buckley on Instagram shared new images from the set of Sweet Magnolias, confirming that filming for the fourth season of the Netflix romantic drama has officially started.
Buckley took to social media to officially announce that filming for Sweet Magnolias Season 4 has already commenced. In the images, the director shared pictures with co-director Lauren Petzke, showrunner Sheryl Anderson, writers Anthony Epling and Sara Jumel, executive producer Dan Paulson, and co-executive producer Matt Drake.
You can check out the newly shared images down below:
Based on Sherryl Woods’ novel of the same name, Sweet Magnolias follows the lives of three lifelong friends, Maddie Townsend (JoAnna Garcia Swisher), Helen Decatur (Heather Headley), and Dana Sue Sullivan (Brooke Elliott), as they juggle relationships, careers, and friendship in the small town of Serenity. Across three seasons, the show has followed the trio as they continuously learn significant life lessons despite their age.
Apart from the trio, the show also stars Logan Allen as Kyle Townsend, Chris Klein as Bill Townsend, Anneliese Judge as Bernadette Annabelle “Annie” Sullivan, Carson Rowland as Tyler “Ty” Townsend, Justin Bruening as Calvin “Cal” Maddox, Brandon Quinn as Ronnie Sullivan, Jamie Lynn Spears as Noreen Fitzgibbons, Dion Johnstone as Erik Whitley, Chris Medlin as Isaac Downey, and Brittany L. Smith as Peggy Martin.
When will Sweet Magnolias Season 4 arrive on Netflix?
Given that filming has just begun, Season 4 will most likely arrive on the streamer either late in 2024 or sometime in 2025. Like other shows, production for Sweet Magnolias Season 4 faced delays due to the now-resolved Hollywood strikes at the time. But with the director already sharing images from the set of the upcoming season, it’s only a matter of time before viewers can finally see Maddie, Helen, and Dana Sue on their screens again.
All three seasons of Sweet Magnolias are available to stream on Netflix.
