The Walking Dead Season 10 Begins Production

The Walking Dead star Norman Reedus took to Instagram to reveal that production has begun on the tenth season of AMC’s long-running post-apocalyptic horror series. Season 10 is expected to premiere later this year on October with Danai Gurira only set to appear in a few episodes in a recurring role as she exits the series after seven seasons.

The ninth season of the series wrapped up with a new addition to the world of The Walking Dead: Snow. The survivor’s managed to escape a blizzard while new antagonists The Whisperers remain a threat having killed a number of characters as the season wrapped up.

The Walking Dead also stars Melissa McBride, Alanna Masterson, Josh McDermitt, Christian Serratos, Seth Gilliam, Ross Marquand, Austin Amelio, Tom Payne, Xander Berkeley, Khary Payton, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan.

Based on the comic book series written by Robert Kirkman and published by Image ComicsThe Walking Dead reigns the number one drama on television among adults 18-49 for the last six seasons. The series is executive produced by chief content officer Scott M. Gimple, showrunner Angela Kang, Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd, David Alpert, Greg Nicotero, Tom Luse and Denise Huth.
