Betty Gilpin has joined the cast of the political thriller The Hunt. According to Deadline, the GLOW star will join the previously announced Ike Barinholtz, Emma Roberts, Justin Hartley, and Glenn Howerton. No details on Gilpin’s role are available just yet.
The Hunt is slated hit theaters October 18 via Universal. There’s still no official word on the film’s plot, but it’s said to explore the escalating aggressiveness between the political right and left in modern-day America.
The script comes from Damon Lindelof (Watchmen, The Leftovers), Nick Cuse, with Craig Zobel (Compliance) directing, who’d previously worked with Lindelof when he helmed some episodes of The Leftovers. Universal execs Erik Baiers, Jay Polidoro, and Mika Pryce will oversee the project on behalf of the studio. The film is produced by Jason Blum and Lindelof, via his White Rabbit banner. Cuse and Zobel will serve as executive producers.
