In the previous episode of Cartoon Network’s Rick and Morty, Rick used elaborate heists to discourage Morty’s Netflix movie. In Rick and Morty Season 4 Episode 4, Morty demanded a dragon from Rick in exchange for going on an adventure.
Soul-Bonded
Morty retrieved a purple Ultimate Cube for Rick, but Rick was disappointed that it was like the one he already had. As they headed home, Morty reminded Rick that he’d promised Morty a dragon. Even after a crash landing in Malta, Morty wouldn’t budge on the subject, so Rick got a wizard to come bring him a dragon. Through a contract and wedding-like ceremony, Morty and the dragon, Balthromaw, were soul-bonded. The wizard left him with a magical tome to help him with the dragon.
After having some fun riding Balthromaw, Morty let him nap on his treasure hoard under the house. Unfortunately, it interrupted the Bones knock-off that Summer and Rick were watching. Rick outsmarted the dragon with science but became interested in the random treasure items he had. They went out and got high together.
Slut Dragons
While hanging out together, Rick and Balthromaw soul-bonded. Morty and Summer showed up while it was happening. Disgusted, Morty ripped up the contract, which summoned the wizard. After learning what happened, the wizard whipped Balthromaw and brought him back to his world for punishment. Unfortunately, Rick’s scientific innovations didn’t work there, and the wizard created a golem to attack him. Morty used the book that the wizard gave him to stop the golem. Rick created a device that harnessed and released magic and made his way to the wizard and Balthromaw, who’d been hanged.
It took many years for a dragon to die by hanging, so Rick, Summer, and Morty escaped with him. They found others convicted of being slut dragons in their sex cave. Now with ten of them there, they were able to soul-bond together and create a dragon strong enough to defeat the wizard. The giant soul-bond orgy disgusted Morty enough to let the dragon go.
Talking Cat
Jerry confirmed with Rick that the talking cat on his bed wasn’t from him. The cat convinced him to fly to Florida. He wanted people to stop asking why he could talk and just have fun. A girl stepped on his poop, and Jerry got blamed for it. Without Jerry, the talking cat annoyed the other partiers, and they threw him off the yacht.
Rick picked them up and trapped the talking cat so he could scan his brain. The reason why he could talk was so disgusting that Rick wiped Jerry’s mind of it. At the end of the episode, the talking cat found Balthromaw after a man had propositioned him.
