Was Paul Pelosi attacked with a hammer?
The New York Times reported that a police officer arrived at the front door of the couple’s home to find Paul Pelosi and an intruder standing together, holding one end of a hammer each, on the early morning of October 28, 2022. Moreover, upon being asked to drop the weapon, he reportedly raised the hammer and attacked him. He struck Pelosi on the head three times with the hammer. DePape allegedly entered the house through a rear glass door and was there then to abduct Nancy Pelosi.
According to BBC, the officer was wearing body cameras, which recorded the incident. At the hospital, Paul Pelosi underwent surgery to repair his fractured skull and several injuries to his arms and hands, per a report by CNN.
