“Vanishing of a Show Girl” is an episode of Sin City Murders on Oxygen that will air on Sunday, February 25, 2024, at 7 p.m. ET. It will revolve around the murder of the Luxor dancer Deborah Flores-Narvaez, who disappeared before her performance. It also follows the investigation that digs deeper into the dancing community in Las Vegas.
Deborah Flores-Narvaez, a Las Vegas dancer, was reported missing by her roommate after she didn’t show up to the Luxor Hotel & Casino where she worked. She had a performance of “Fantasy” scheduled, but when she didn’t show up, it made her friends and co-workers suspicious.
Jason “Blu” Griffith, Deborah’s ex-boyfriend and also a Las Vegas strip dancer, was later convicted of the second-degree murder of Deborah Flores-Narvaez. He reportedly strangled and dismembered her on December 12, 2010. This was before he and his housemate Louis Colombo placed parts of her remains in tubs of concrete in various empty houses. He was sentenced to 10 years to life in prison, CBS News reported.
When was Deborah Flores-Narvaez reported missing?
As per CBS News, Deborah Flores-Narvaez was reported missing by her roommate on December 14, 2010, after she was last seen with Jason on December 12, 2010. Jason “Blu” Griffith became an immediate suspect. In January 2011, her ex-boyfriend, Jason ” Blu” Griffith, was reportedly charged with murder and arrested.
Griffith claimed that killing Deborah Flores-Narvaez was an act of self-defense. He claimed that he initiated it when he believed she was reaching out for her purse to remove a gun, Fox News reported. However, no weapon was found in the victim’s purse. Police found her purse in her car. She left it in a parking lot in the northwestern part of the city. He also claimed that she was a violent, stalking woman who threatened him on multiple occasions.
