The notorious robber couple of Bonnie Elizabeth Parker and Clyde Chestnut Barrow aka Bonnie and Clyde operated during the Great Depression. According to Britannica, their targets were gas stations, small-town banks, and restaurants, located in Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, and Missouri.
Bonnie and Clyde wreaked havoc from the year 1932 to 1934 before ultimately being gunned down by law officials. On May 23, 1934, the duo was ambushed by the Texas and Louisiana police while the couple was traveling in a car on a highway between the towns of Gibsland and Sailes in Bienville Parish, Louisiana.
The police fired multiple rounds resulting in the couple’s instant death. Several films, shows, and documentaries have been made over the years about this notorious couple. However, the 2019 Netflix film titled, The Highwaymen, narrated their story from the point of view of law officials.

Who killed Bonnie and Clyde?
According to Biography, Bonnie and Clyde were killed by Texas officers Frank Hamer and Maney Gault. Hamer’s intention was to catch the robbers alive. However, due to confusion, an open fire ensued.
Even before the couple could reach for their weapons, the police showered their car with around 167 bullets. At the time of their deaths, Bonnie was 23 years old and Clyde was 25 years old.
